All in the Family

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

We have a new baby in the family! Carson Scott Rippee:

How cute is he?!?!?!

How cute is he?!?!?!

Isn’t he just the cutest little snugglenugget ever? We met him this weekend while in Fresno, visiting Trent’s grandma for Mother’s Day. At the ripe old age of 7 weeks.

So now is when I admit that we aren’t actually related to Carson’s mommy (our friend, Kristen, wife of Trent’s college roommate and best man, Scott). But, since we’re childless (by choice), and we have no nieces or nephews (at the moment), Carson is a part of our family.

Along with many other snugglenuggets produced by our friends. If you make one, we might have to announce his or her arrival here on the blog, as well.

But we do have a few special little people that we consider our “nieces and nephews,” and I realize now that the deciding factor in that designation is:

Children of the people in our wedding party.

It makes sense: those friends are enough like us and have been through so much with us in life that they pretty much ARE family.

So Carson, welcome to the crew (and meet your cohorts)!

Henry (he is an old soul).

Kate. She is FULL of life.

Olive. She eats healthier than ALL of us.

Henry (yes, we have two). He has a hell of an arm.

Some day, we’ll let you all drink beer before you’re of legal age, tell you all embarrassing stories about your “real parents,” yada yada. And infuriate all your moms and dads equally.

And to the people below, that also goes for you and any eventual children you might have. Get crackin’! We’re always eager to expand the family…

Justin: Groomsman.

Troy: groomsman.

Sarah: Maid of Honor (wait -- it DEFINITELY goes for her; we're actually related).

Hold on – am I really telling these people to procreate?

Yeah, I pretty much am…

Looks like he is plenty cute enough to join this group of amazingly good looking kids! Wait is that too superficial? Wait, wait, is that also totally biased since half of them are mine? 🙂 I can’t help it, because it was hard not to notice how sticking adorable all those kiddos are, including the newest one.

Carson just told me that he loves the post (sounded a bit like grunts, but I think that’s what he meant =).
