Welcome Wagon

We finally have some East Bay homeowner friends!

This weekend, we welcomed Jessica and Larry to the wonderful, curse-word-filled world with ironically flawless weather we call “homeownership in the East Bay.” We’re so happy to have them (in El Cerrito)!

To be fair, we already had lots of awesome friends in the East Bay (LOTS – you know who you are); it’s just that none of them had yet chosen to hitch themselves to a mortgage. And now we have Jess and Larry to commiserate with over things like rose pruning and new roofs.

Both our houses need these things, you see! We can have shared headaches over powdery mildew! Or at least I’ll have a headache and Jess will listen to me and not think I’m crazy (right?)!

So, congrats to Jess and Larry. They picked the perfect house for them, and we’re looking forward to many good times there. So is Sammy; he digs the “play room”…

Meanwhile, back at our own ranch, we snuck in a little spiffing up this weekend. On our way to deliver housewarming goodies to the Youngs (Marlene was our copilot for that, of course), we hit the Alameda Antiques Faire again and finally found the perfect sawhorse bench for our entryway, PLUS an old tool basket to fit flawlessly underneath:

I also claim this rug. And the bench.I also claim this rug. And the bench. In fact, just put my name on everything; I'm the Furbaby. In fact – just put my name on everything, because I'm the Furbaby.

Our houses in the East Bay are all very, very, very fine houses.

Yes, you have a very, very, very fine house. With you little furbaby in the yard and on the rug and everywhere. It is a good place to call home. Sammy must be fond of geometric rug patterns. Is that an East Bay thing? I love the East Bay, too!
