Anti-Labor

Once again, we did an excellent job of not laboring on Labor Day.

We passed four days with the family up at Lake Almanor on such illustrious activities as…

1. Wandering Aimlessly

2. Rock n’ Rolling

3. Over Eating

4. Over-pontificating

5. Sitting On Our Asses

It’s a rough life.

Oh wait!

We did do ONE productive thing…

We made a dozen jars of fresh peach jam as a family.

Boiling fruit is HARD WORK.

It was SO much work. Sigh… We might have to eat it all ourselves to justify the overtime commitment.

That was a totally “labor-free” weekend! Except for the jam making, but I am sure that is a labor of love. And I would love to taste the fish at the Elks Lodge. It appears that you have mastered the art of “doing nothing”, which is definitely an art. It allows you so much time to “enjoy everything”, even the fried fish and the dry lake bed and the wisdom of front porch scholars. How lucky you are!

Well, we have resumed labor. There’s a LOT going down at our house this week… More on that front soon!
