Ta Da

After a long weekend of yardwork, we give you… … …

…our fully finished new back patio, and restored backyard (no more broken sprinklers, broken deck, broken water lines, overgrown mulch beds, dead grass because three large Tongans shlepping several tons of stone had overtaken it, yada yada…)!

From the top of the steps...

From the top of the steps…

Looking up from our new firepit (firewood obviously reclaimed).

Stepping out our bedroom doorwall...

Stepping out our bedroom doorwall…

(Don’t underestimate the cleanup that follows the laying of 400 square feet of cement and flagstone, is all we have to say!)

We’d write more, but we’ve been too busy these past few days enjoying the paradise we created. No need to wax any more poetic than that. Other than to add that we’ve got just one more project on the books – finishing our seismic retrofit, starting this weekend – and then we’re taking a well-earned vacation and closing the books on Year 2 at 3675.

Peace out to the patio for now…

Wow! It doesn’t even look like the same yard any more!! What an amazing change 400 square feet of well laid stone can effect yard (and a lot of clean up)!
