ART OF RENEWAL

An easy recipe for de-stressing!

An easy recipe for de-stressing!

So it’s no secret at this point that 2014 was kind of a stressball of a year. It didn’t really start out that way, but by Q4 it was almost unsafe to approach me unless you were bringing beer or puppies.

Really – lots of beer and puppies.

I can say, though, with certainty, that I now have a battle-tested strategy for regeneration after such a year. OPERATION: SECOND HONEYMOON did the trick. So well, actually, that it might have to become an annual year-end practice (especially if I continue working in eCommerce).

Here are a few words on how it works…

Mix one part super handsome, loving husband…

(try to have this ingredient on hand; it's difficult to come by)

With two parts tequila…

(may substitute beer, but results will differ)

Blend together well in crystal-clear ocean water…

(maintain temperature at "bikini-swimmable")

Add a dash of adventure…

(spontaneous whale encounter highly recommended)

And a pinch of superb hospitality…

(several pinches in the form of multiple pools and a stellar spa will elevate the finished product)

Heat under incredibly sunny skies in perfect 80-degree, zero-humidity temps every day for seven days straight…

(DO NOT SKIMP ON THIS PART!)

Until perfectly brown!

(browner the better!)

And voilà (or should I say, ¡ya está!)! Stress is gone!

So is a nice chunk of your “slush fund,” but HEY! That’s what a slush fund is for!

I guess 2014 was the year I finally figured that out. And 2015 is the year I will OWN IT.

Yes, Lisa, that is what a slush fund is for. The grandparents and I enjoyed the travelogue. Do it again in 2015! We live vicariously through you!
