Dog Day: The Sequel

Grass Shark sighted on Doggy Day!

Actually, it’s now the third installment.

That’s right! For the third year in a row, we kept our early spring doggy date with the Nothllog Family (hybrid name copyright ME!). And this year’s excursion was a little different, because we only had to journey slightly deeper into our own backyards.

Don and Emma are our neighbors now. They just bought a house a couple miles down the road and up into the hills, in Oakland’s Grass Valley neighborhood. Literally four minutes away. Sam has his dogfather in the ‘hood again.

And we have our friends nearby.

Look at all us “city folk,” over here in the other city, doing exactly what we thought we’d never do when we moved to San Francisco:

Living in Oakland.

And loving it.

I’m not known for saying it often, but getting older can be pretty sweet. Especially when it comes with an awesome old house, perpetual summer weather, the perfect companion(s), and a killer view.

Two dudes, living the good life.
