2018 is going to be a great year.

And I’m not just saying that because THIS year has been such an enormous loser, there’s absolutely NO WAY I CAN’T feel warm and fuzzy about a new one.

I’m saying it because 2018 is the year that ALL the people I love are going to turn 40.

Well, not all of them – a few already have…

Anna turned 40 in June 2017, and you better believe I was there for it.

John just turned 40 this past weekend, on November 13; Trent and I flew to Detroit to surprise him and join the limo bar crawl celebration.

And a few will linger behind, like this guy:

Trent turned 38 a day later, on November 14th. We celebrated while in Detroit, with all-you-can-eat fried chicken at the DYC.

But for the most part, 2018 will be THE EPIC YEAR of not-so-over-the-hill 40th birthday celebrations. Including my own.

June 2, 2018.

And you know what?

I can’t. effing. wait.

In the meantime, please invite me to your party.
